Spuzzum Creek Hydroelectric Project Hydro 18.0

Spuzzum Creek Project is an 18 MW hydroelectric project in the lower mainland of British Columbia.

Spuzzum Creek Hydroelectric Project
Capacity: 18 MW

The Spuzzum Creek Project is being designed as an 18 MW run-of-river hydroelectric plant. The project is located in the Lillooett Range of the Coast Mountains in south western British Columbia. The energy produced by the 295 m head project will connect to the 69 kV BCTC grid approximately 1 km away. Hydrology studies have been completed using nearby watersheds with long-term flow gauges, combined with over 3 years of on-site stream flow gauge data.

All field work related to environmental assessment requirements is largely complete, with reports issued for hydrology, wildlife, vegetation, archaeological, and geo-technical/geo-hazard. The Water Licensing process is in the later stages. The project works are situated on crown lands and we expect land tenure to be granted following completion of the water licensing process.
